Everyone’s Busy, Everyone’s Stressed

Key things this week: we are all horrendously busy across the board, nobody has time, everyone is experiencing cost pressure and perhaps for you guys my beloved readers you are feeling the stress that your prospects and buyers are putting on you.

From what I’m seeing, buyers are moving away from foundational solutions and getting VERY distracted by AI… which is a completely fuuuu!!ed-up way of going about it.

Reality check: if you build your house on weak foundations the whole thing is going to come crumbling down.

My Prediction: 18 Months of Pain

So the prediction is that in the next 18 months we are going to see lawyers of all kinds feel this pain, and return to a level of clarity making sure that the base solutions are in place. Right now they’re getting complete junk from the tooling they’re using.

Which will bring it’s only issues as we will be facing combatants from Enterprise land such as ServiceNow and Salesforce - we will talk about “Enterprise Pressure” another day.

Law Firms: Build vs Buy

We’ve also seen law firms moving away from building to buying and managing. Is this a good decision? Will they lose their edge? Or will the brand, individuals, and reduced costs give them the advantage? Only time will tell.
