Today, I met up with one of my all-time ride or dies, let’s call him Brenda.

Nothing fancy a salad, a Diet Coke… and a cry.

First thing he does! Oh Rob, I know a guy let me get him on the phone.

3 seconds later, new AE role in the locker: Anyone want a job in Chicago????

On this business-building journey, one lesson keeps coming up again and again and today it landed hard.

You cannot do this alone.

  • Building something from nothing is brutal.

  • It’s lonely.

  • It’s stressful.

And some days, the weight of it all feels heavier than you expect.

Brenda said it too, and hearing it out loud mattered:

You need your people.

  • The ones who don’t need the polished pitch.

  • The ones who see behind the bravado.

We talk a lot about resilience, grit, and “backing yourself.”

But the real secret?

Backing each other.

So here’s your reminder this week:

  • Protect your ride or dies

  • Show up for them

And when you need it, let them show up for you

Because no one builds anything meaningful on their own.

Peace.
