18 hours… grim.

Hey,

Last week, I did something that made my ADHD very happy and sad at the same time—I tracked how much time I spent doom-scrolling LinkedIn.

And honestly? I hated myself (and it) for it.

Between the “Comment to engage” AI process map posts (I’ve got loads of GDocs if you want one) and some guy chasing people in the street with a microphone asking what their dreams are...

My feed has become a Keeping Up Simon Squibb shower of nonsense.

It’s not doing me any good. But I can’t exactly quit LinkedIn either—it kind of underpins everything I do. It’s quite literally Stockholm Syndrome...And I pay $140 a month for the pleasure.

WTF is going on?

Everyone seems to be smashing it:

  • SDRs are booking more meetings

  • Deals are flying

  • Business influencers are telling me I need to post 11 times an hour, optimise my carousels, and deeply resonate with GCs and Legal Ops...please, please, please—go away

Meanwhile, I’m just trying to make sure I don’t send “Hi FirstName” to Dave at Sanofi—who, by the way, it’s taken me two years to get to acknowledge my existence.

So if you’ve been caught in the same LinkedIn spiral of doom—I get it. And I’m not sure there is an escape plan.

If you have one I am on 0800 send help.

Anyway… I’d better get back to commenting on profiles and crying in my sleep.
