Afternoon LegalTech sports fans.

January always starts loud!!

Everyone comes back fired up, goals are flying around, calendars fill up fast, and there’s this pressure to “start strong,” like if you don’t nail it now, the year’s already off track.

For a few weeks, it feels great.

You’re organised, motivated, and convinced this year will finally be different.

The plan feels solid. The energy’s there. Everything feels possible.

But by the end of the month, something usually changes. The buzz fades, reality kicks in, and keeping that clarity and momentum suddenly feels a lot harder.

The lesson?

It’s not about how you start it’s about what you do when the excitement wears off. That’s when the real work begins.

I have 3 white boards who are doing my heavy lifting, how are you going to keep trucking on through?

Anyway I am off to get shouted at by some LegalTech founders to see if we can do there hiring.
